EXP3: 5 Real Time Image Captures of the Developed Lumion Environment

The Tree of Knowledge at sunset. I have used glass walls to enhance the transparency of the courtyard and the university in general.

The Folly sits underneath the university, beneath the glowing disc that encircles the tree of knowledge. The disc levitates down so that it encases the folly, making it the centre of attention and attraction at any meeting. The sunset compliments the effect of the disc.

The sunset in this image helps depict the unique set out of the studio spaces that overlap one another in close proximity so that classes can easily communicate with each other. The lack of walls both brings the classes closer together whilst in the same instant forging a sense of openness to the outside.

This photo illustrates the structure of the university and shows how the main walkway at the centre of the university is able to connect all spaces together. Here, we see the main walkway branching out to the studios which then lead to the workshop and gallery space, and the computer and research labs that transitions into a library. There is a flow and sense of interconnectedness.

The placement of the tree at the centre of the university highlights the regard for a connectedness with nature that is thoroughly amplified by the structure of the university in it's abundance of walls (not) and glass windows that makes the building see through to the outside. This in a sense, represents an intimate exchange between architecture and it's environment.
